We are sailing into a new year, and with that comes an exciting glimpse of what's new and hot on the horizon. The cruise industry is booming, and passengers are thrilled to plan their 2023-2024 itineraries and start dreaming about onboard fun and port adventures. Seas the day!
The World by Cruise Receives Cruise Industry Certification!
Great news! I have received my Master Cruise Counsellor (MCC) Certification of a comprehensive program consisting of cruise sales training, product instruction, personal cruise experience and demonstrated sales success!
The MCC is an advanced level of CLIA Certification where graduates are widely recognized as the foremost cruise vacation experts among North American Travel Advisors!
Although earned at the end of Summer 2022, I wanted to share with you all - my valuable cruise clients - that I am still continuing to learn and educate and make myself the most valuable tool to planning your cruise vacation!
5 New Cruise Ships Make Their Debut in 2023
Celebrity Ascent: This fourth ship in the Edge class has the widest range of staterooms and suites of the entire fleet and will feature more than 30 options for dining and beverages.
Norwegian Cruise Line Viva: The sister ship to Prima is nearly identical, but features the largest 3 level racetrack at sea, two infinity pools, and 44,000 square feet of outdoor space.
Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady / Brilliant Lady: The adult-only cruise line debuts two ships in 2023, and 90% of the staterooms feature balconies.
Carnival Jubilee: Named after an early ship in the fleet and raising the bar on family fun, the ship has six fun zones, Bolt! Ultimate Sea Coaster, and Family Feud at Sea.
Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas: Now the largest cruise ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, Icon of the Seas will debut two new neighborhoods, the largest waterpark at sea, and the largest pool at sea.
Top Cruise Trends for 2023
Longer itineraries: Cruise lovers who were landlocked for months are seeking out longer itineraries that visit multiple countries and continents.
More emphasis on land experiences: Cruise lines that tout incredible onboard amenities are now emphasizing unique land experiences too. From included city stays, incorporated train travel, and increased excursion and activity offerings, combining a land and sea vacation has never been easier or more enjoyable.
Bucket list itineraries: Like longer itineraries, bucket list destinations and experiences are gaining in popularity because of the booming return to cruising. After delaying travels, cruisers want unique and even more memorable itineraries that feel fresh and exciting.
Busting 3 Cruise Myths
I'll get bored quickly. Today's ships boast endless entertainment in the form of live music and performances, swimming pools and waterparks, ice skating, rock climbing, miniature golfing, games and trivia, tours and lectures, and more. Lively sea days combined with adventurous port days make for an incredibly fun vacation.
I'll feel confined. Ships are designed to feel spacious, ensuring that no matter the size of the ship, passengers have ample room to stretch out and enjoy their surroundings. For the same feel in a stateroom, booking an oceanview or balcony allows for natural light and additional square footage.
I'll feel out of place. It doesn't matter if you're setting sail for family fun, happily honeymooning, or celebrating your golden years...there is a cruise ship and itinerary perfect for you.
